I was born and raised in the United Kingdom (UK). The University of Waterloo is one of the two best optometry schools in the world and I jumped at the chance to move to Canada to become a professor.


VCI enrollment successfully closes

Congratulations to the vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) team for completing enrollment and exceeding their enrollment goal. VCI enrollment stopped at the end of April and more than 150 participants will be enrolled after they complete the screening process.

OBI’s Patient Advisory Committee Day Outcomes

PAC IDP.JPGThe OBI hosted the Third Annual Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) Workshop. Representatives of clinicians, researchers, and project management from each of OBI's Integrated Discovery Programs (IDP) met to set priorities and identify the tools and resources required to optimize knowledge and resource exchange between the PACs and the IDPs.

The top priorities for ONDRI this year include increasing engagement with our PAC, hosting research talks, and creating lay research summaries for patients and families.

Toronto Western boast high retention and recruitment

TWH Coordinators.jpgCongratulations to the ONDRI team at Toronto Western Hospital for nearly reaching their recruitment goal and retaining all their participants. As of the end of March, they had recruited 81 per cent of their required participants and were well on their way to reach their goal.
