ONDRI project management team changes

Alicia Peltsch_0.jpg Now that we have completed our initial enrollment phase, the immediate human resource needs within ONDRI are evolving. Our exclusive focus for the past four years has been "getting data into Brain-CODE" and now our attention turns to "getting data out of Brain-CODE."

The project management team will focus on retention of participants to ensure maximum participation in annual follow up visits, and analysis of baseline data. To achieve the first goal, the Clinical Research Managers (CRM) and site research coordinators will continue on with their excellent work ensuring participants remain in the study. To achieve the second goal, human resources have been adjusted to facilitate data curation and analysis.

Donna Kwan 2.jpgThe following changes are effective immediately:

Alicia Peltsch will continue on with monitoring baseline neuropsychological data as well as providing quality analysis and control (QA and QC) support to coordinators. As collection of baseline data nears completion, Alicia will be responsible for:
1. Supporting the Publication Committee meetings (working closely with Dr. Dar Dowlatshahi to create agendas and publish meeting minutes);
2. Managing the publication submission portal;
3. Facilitating collaborations and/or managing relations between overlapping teams;
4. Reviewing the publication policy;
5. Being the "institutional memory" with respect to all publications.
Alicia's title will be "Research Projects, Compliance and Quality Control Lead" and will continue to report to Dr. Paula McLaughlin.

Donna Kwan was started with ONDRI as a maternity leave replacement for Paula and she will be staying with ONDRI in a new position. This position will combine some of her existing responsibilities as Neuropsychology Operations Lead with the new Clinical Platform Lead role. The Clinical Platform Lead role was created to fill a gap identified during curation and analysis of the VCI data in that no one had responsibility for volumes of clinical data from each of the five disease platforms. Donna will be the point person for designing and overseeing QA and QC procedures for all clinical data. For responsibilities related to neuropsychology, Donna will report to Paula. For responsibilities related to the clinical platform, the Donna will report to Dr. Rick Swartz (VCI Disease Theme Lead, ONDRI 1.0 Executive Committee member, Co-Principal Investigator of ONDRI 2.0).
