Dr. Mandar Jog uses technology to deliver personalized treatment to patients with tremors

TremorTek.JPGThe technology, under the tradename TremorTek, uses a combination of wearable movement sensors and computer software to determine exactly which muscles and what biomechanics are involved in each individual patient’s tremor symptoms. Using the information from that technology, clinicians can precisely place injections to reduce tremor at the exact source.

ONDRI Coordinators Workshop outcomes

ONDRI assessments and Brain-CODE changes. It continued with a presentation by Dr. Angela Roberts about strategies for success participant retention and assessing your cognitively impaired participants.

The day ended with an open question and answer forum that was an excellent opportunity for the research coordinators to ask questions about the assessments they facilitate and share best practices with their colleagues to improve efficiency.

VCI enrollment successfully closes

Congratulations to the vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) team for completing enrollment and exceeding their enrollment goal. VCI enrollment stopped at the end of April and more than 150 participants will be enrolled after they complete the screening process.

OBI’s Patient Advisory Committee Day Outcomes

PAC IDP.JPGThe OBI hosted the Third Annual Patient Advisory Committee (PAC) Workshop. Representatives of clinicians, researchers, and project management from each of OBI's Integrated Discovery Programs (IDP) met to set priorities and identify the tools and resources required to optimize knowledge and resource exchange between the PACs and the IDPs.

The top priorities for ONDRI this year include increasing engagement with our PAC, hosting research talks, and creating lay research summaries for patients and families.
