Angela Roberts is a faculty member in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (Faculty of Health Sciences) and in the Department of Computer Science (Faculty of Science) at Western University, London, Ontario. She also holds an adjunct faculty appointment at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and an affiliation with the Mesulam Center of Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Angela’s interests are in age-related language and cognition changes and also acquired cognitive-communication disorders in adults with neurodegenerative disorders, and her widely publicized research includes the neurological and behavioral characterization of language and communication profiles in these populations in addition to the design and evaluation of therapy interventions and caregiver education programs.

Angela’s research program uses a variety of advanced data analytics, wearable technologies, and speech analysis methods to answer research questions informed by a clinical career as a speech-language pathologist, spanning over 25 years in the U.S. and Canada. She was previously awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Medal of Honour for contributions to improving the quality of life for individuals with Parkinson disease and their care partners. Angela received her Ph.D. in Health and Rehabilitation Science from The University of Western Ontario and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Cognitive Neurology at the Lawson Health Research Institutes.
