Douglas P. Munoz, PhD., is a professor in the Centre for Neuroscience Studies and departments of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences, Psychology, and Medicine, Queen’s University. He obtained his PhD. in neurology and neurosurgery at McGill University followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University and subsequently the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health. Doug was recruited to Queen’s University in 1992.
The main goals of his research are devoted to understanding the neural circuitry controlling saccadic eye movements and using knowledge of this circuitry to probe a variety of neurological and psychiatry disorders. He currently holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair.
