Leanne Casaubon, MD, is an Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, University of Toronto; Clinician Investigator and Neurologist, Division of Neurology and the Stroke Program, Toronto Western Hospital (TWH)/University Health Network; and Director of the TIA and Minor Stroke (TAMS) Unit, TWH. She obtained her MD at Dalhousie University and completed neurology residency training, followed by a stroke fellowship and MSc in clinical epidemiology at the University of Toronto.
Her clinical and academic interests include developing and evaluating patient care models for improving stroke care and secondary stroke prevention. She’s developed expertise in best practices and quality improvement and is currently leading the 2014-2015 update of the Canadian Stroke Best Practice Recommendations – Hyperacute Care and Acute Care sections as co-chair. She’s also involved in the Ontario Stroke System and as an invited member of the Ontario Vascular Health Primary Care Work Group as a stroke expert to lead in the integration of health groups and initiatives for optimal vascular health for people in Ontario.
