Lorne Zinman, MD, current appointments and affiliations include Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Toronto; Associate Scientist, Evaluative Clinical Sciences, Hurvitz Brain Sciences Research Program, Sunnybrook Research Institute; Staff Neurologist, Director of the ALS Clinic and EMG Laboratory, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre; and the founder of the Canadian Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Research Network (CALS).
He received his MD from the University of Calgary and FRCPC in neurology and MSc in clinical epidemiology from the University of Toronto. His main research aim is to better characterize the clinical, electrophysiological and pathological ALS phenotypes along with conducting translational clinical trials.
