Deep TMS for Treatment of Alzheimer’s disease with depression
Description: This study is investigating how deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS), a type of non-invasive brain stimulation, can be used to help treat depression in people with Alzheimer’s disease. We are looking for individuals who are over the age of 60, diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and have depression.
Location: Baycrest Health Sciences
Time Commitment: Four weeks. These four weeks will include 3 pre-treatment visits, 20 treatment sessions (daily visits for 4 weeks), 2-3 post-treatment visits, and a post-treatment follow-up call.
Honorarium: $140 plus travel expenses.
