Anthony Lang, MD, current appointments include Director, Edmond J Safra Program in Parkinson’s Disease and the Morton and Gloria Shulman Movement Disorders Clinic, Toronto Western Hospital; Director, Rossy Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Centre, Krembil Brain Institute; Professor, Division of Neurology, University of Toronto; Lily Safra Chair in Movement Disorders, University Health Network; and Jack Clark Chair in Parkinson’s Disease Research, University of Toronto Tanz Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Disease (CRND).
He trained in internal medicine and neurology at the University of Toronto and completed postgraduate training in movement disorders at Kings College Hospital and the Institute of Psychiatry, England. His research includes clinical studies of poorly recognized neurological disorders, clinical trials of new therapeutic modalities and collaborative basic and clinical studies involving molecular biology, neurophysiology, neuropsychology, and imaging.
