Retinal Thickness Assessment Platform

How this assessment platform benefits ONDRI’s research

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a non-invasive imaging technique utilizing a camera that is employed routinely in many eye doctors’ offices. This efficient tool can be used to detect progression of neurodegenerative diseases.

ONDRI protocol

Participants complete a scan of the retina in both eyes, using the optical coherence tomographer. Eye care specialists analyze the scans to detect if the thickness of the retina has changed as a result of neurodegenerative disease.
