Kyle Weber, MSc, is an ONDRI Scholar and research assistant at the University of Waterloo under the supervision of Drs. Karen Van Ooteghem and Bill McIlroy. Kyle completed his MSc in Neuroscience in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo looking at wearable technology and activity. Kyle continues with this research focus by continuously measuring physical activity over the course of several days with the use of wearable technology. Specifically, he uses portable ECG and wrist- and ankle-worn accelerometers to measure the intensity and amount of physical activity with the goal of combining these data to provide meaningful context about the activity.
